Charity Tournament

On 14th August, teams from across Nottinghamshire gathered at Goosedale for a charity tournament in aid of Leon’s legacy and Henry the Brave. Redhill entered two teams, both of whom fought hard to have the most fun! The ‘White Team in Pink’ and the ‘Red Team in Yellow’ each played 6 games throughout the day, with some valiant efforts from volunteer goalkeepers (Jo, Christie and Alice) for both teams. Extra thanks to our special guest, Libby, for stepping in as an expert keeper!
Well done to Greenwood for winning the womens’ tournament and ‘Duck Duck Goose’ for winning for the men. Redhill almost certainly won the competition to make the biggest charity contribution thanks to our elaborate fines system, deftly administered by our very own Laura Brown. Scoring goals turned out to be a mixed blessing, as there was a 25p charge for every ball that went over the goal line!
With a hat-trick from Charlotte Smith in their very first game, the White team in Pink made an excellent start, finally finishing in 4th place. The Red team in Yellow scored in every single game and finished in 7th place.
